Q: I have an older generation iPod. Will it work with your clickguide™ programs?

A: CitizenPod's programs are designed for second generation and newer iPods only.  This includes the iPod mini but not the iPod shuffle.

Q: How do I navigate a CitizenPod guide?

A: Like traditional iPod navigation, the SELECT button is used to choose a particular item.   The scroll wheel takes you up and down the list of items or text on a page.   As you scroll, available links become active.   A bolded underline denotes an active link; a faded underline is inactive.   When a link is active, use the SELECT button to follow that link.

Q: How do I return to the main menu in a clickguide™?

A: The MENU located on your scroll wheel takes you back to previously viewed screens.  Think of it like the “back” button on your internet browser.  If you wish to navigate back to the main menu of the guide press the MENU button until you reach the main menu.  At this time the iPod firmware does not support a back to main menu function.

Q: How do I download a clickguide™?

A: Go to our download page at citizenpod.com.   Click on the guide you wish to download and follow the text instructions provided on that page.

Q: What sort of clickguides™ does CitizenPod publish?

A: CitizenPod provides guides for a wide range of listings, catalogs, events, and instructional guides.   If you would like more information about our services, click here

Q: I have an mp3 player, but it is not an iPod. Will a clickguide™ work on any other players besides as iPod?

A: No, there is no other mp3 player on the market that has the capability to support our guides.  We are producing our guides for any PDA and other handheld devices with a text reading application.  Most PDAs will have this application.

Q: How many clickguides™ will fit on my iPod?

A: It depends on the size.   For now, the Notes application will only support 1000 notes.  You will need to clear some space in your Notes folder for our larger guides.  Other guides don't take up as much space and can fit along side others.   The number of notes in each guide is listed next to its download link. Be sure your guides don't add up to more than 1000 or some of your guides will become incomplete.

Q. How do I remove a clickguide™ from my iPod?

To remove a guide from your iPod: Find your iPod icon on your desktop or under My Computer. Double click and browse to the "Notes" folder. To delete a guide, simply drag the selected folder to the Trash or Recycle Bin.

Q: There are links for music, but they don’t work.  Why not?

A:  Some of our guides have music included.  Others link to music that you already have in your iPod.  The guides without music included will have links to music, but will only work if you have music from that artist already loaded into your iPod.  If you have music by that artist, load it into your iPod music library to make the links in our guides active.
