The Palm Elementary School Choir

The grade-school-aged boys and girls grades third through fifth that make up the Palm Elementary School Choir may be the youngest artists at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, but they certainly wont be the greenest. Sure, the line-up (ranging from 45 to 50 kids) may change from year to year, but these ACL Festival veterans who sing original material written by their teacher and choir director, Gavin Tabone have performed onstage with Lyle Lovett, opened for keynote speaker Neil Young at South-by-Southwest, and been featured on NBCs Today show. No less impressive, theyve also sung for charity; last September, the Palm Elementary School Choir played a benefit concert for children displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
