Parlez vous Francois? If not, you might have a bit of trouble finding out much about singer-songwriter Pierre Guimard on the Web. But dont be surprised if this French import doesnt become a lot better known outside of his homeland (and beyond his native tongue) once the world gets a listen to his debut solo album, De LAutre C�t� (translation: On the Other Side). Co-produced by fellow ACL Festival performer Ben Kweller and English producers Bacon & Quarmby, its a collection of stunning folk-rock/pop songs so rife with irresistible melodies and beauty that you dont have to be French or even a Francophile to dig it.
