As if simply being the latest musical adventure of Jack White wasnt enough to ensure a certain degree of white-hot buzz around the Raconteurs, they also scored famed film director Jim Jarmusch to direct their debut video, Steady, As She Goes. On top of that, the song itself is a doozy arguably one of the coolest rock singles of the year. That bodes well for the May 16 release of the Raconteurs full-length debut, Broken Boy Soldiers. So does the rest of bands lineup: veteran solo artist Brendan Benson, and Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler of the Greenhornes (who also worked with White as the rhythm section for Loretta Lynns Van Lear Rose). Rest assured, 2006 belongs to the Raconteurs; the rest of us are just along for the ride.
